Karen and Bill’s Wedding

As you can see from our previous posts, we’re really fond of Karen and Bill, and we were really excited about their wedding. From talking with them we knew they wanted something special in their photographs. So when we got to the church, we set up something we call “First Glance”. This is something we developed a few years ago and it’s been really popular with our wedding couples. We found a quiet, secluded chapel away from their families and guests, and had Bill stand in the chapel with his back to the door. Karen quietly entered the chapel, walked up behind him and gently tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around to see her for the first time, it was just the two of them in a quiet room, away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the day, and the world stopped spinning for just a few minutes.

They were able to cherish a few quiet moments together, and it’s amazing what a difference just a few minutes can make! We remain in the room with the couple to take a couple of photos, and then we step out so they can have privacy and time together.

The ceremony and the reception were beautiful, and we were thrilled to be a part of their day.

Karen and Bill, enjoy the islands. Aloha!
