Ben and Eimile

We’d had Ben and Eimile over to the studio several times before the wedding, and we felt like old friends when their wedding day arrived. We joined the bridal party at the hotel in the morning, where everyone was getting ready.

The wedding was beautiful and it was clear how much Ben and Eimile are loved by their friends and family.

With some time to kill before the reception, John and I suggested that cocktails for the bridal party were in order. Entourage, a fantastic restaurant, was right across the street from the ‘host’ hotel. We arrived at Entourage en masse and quickly established ourselves in the bar. It was perfect for more photos, and I really wanted to set a moody, provocative feel for this setting. I set the scene, posed Ben in the background and posed Emilie front and center. I told her to throw some attitude and be playful. The result was spectacular!

Ben’s father, John, was one of his Best Men and had heartfelt words for Ben and Eimile during the reception. He also produced something he called The Bag Of Ben, which held an assortment of Ben’s growing-up memorabilia. John produced each one with a running narrative: a teddy bear, baseball glove, grungy Nirvana cap, and finally a framed picture of Ben and Eimile. Great stuff.

To both families– thanks for letting us share the day with you! It was truly a pleasure!

Ben - Jeff and John… what can we say? We just got back from the honeymoon and watched the album. It’s beautiful! We love it and can’t wait to see you guys again to go through the rest of the pictures. We’re going to need a lot of kleenex! :)

Thanks again for everything – we really couldn’t have asked for more!

Michael Strong – Mississippi Wedding Photographer - Beautiful photograph, I can see why they needed lots of tissues!
