We’re lucky that many of our clients have also become good friends. We took Beth and Joe’s engagement photos back in April, and we had a blast hanging out with them. Last week we had them over to the house for a cookout and discussed the final preparations. Hard to believe their wedding was here already!
St. Mary’s Church in Elgin was built in 1898 and is just like you’d expect a 109 year-old church to be: beautiful, sacrosanct, and picturesque. The soloists sang beautifully. Christian and Taylor, the ringbearer and flower girl, were adorable.
Beth looked absolutely gorgeous. Her dress was one of the most beautiful we’ve seen. The delicate embroidery, ivory taffeta, and the cathedral train were stunning. Joe was handsome and earnest, and was so proud to become Beth’s husband.
After a trolley ride to a park in St Charles, Beth, Joe and the whole gang cheerfully strolled through the park (and a little rain) for some great photos. While John photographed the bridesmaids, I had the groomsmen to give me their best tough-guy looks. I got some terrific photos similar to the title shot from Reservoir Dogs. The dark sky added some great atmosphere too.
It was a pleasure, you guys! Have a safe drive to San Diego, and a great time in Costa Maya. Go easy on the margaritas! Or don’t.
