Kristin and Mark
Kristin and Mark live in Vancouver, BC and were actually married there in Memorial Day weekend. But with extended family and friends in Chicago, they had a second reception at Kristin’s parents house in Geneva. The bridesmaids and groomsmen had of course all attended the wedding in Vancouver, and they donned their finery again today. The weather didn’t cooperate much– it was cool and threatening to rain– but that didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm a bit. We got some great photos of Kristin with her bridesmaids in the adjacent park. We wanted to do a fun, casual shot of them walking towards the camera, and so we asked if they would mind slipping off their shoes. “Don’t have to ask us twice!” came the resounding answer, and suddenly the lawn was littered with seven pairs of high-couture strappy heels. Kristin’s smile just lights up the room. And Mark was every bit the relaxed, confident groom. (He told us that since the ceremony was already over, all the pressure was off!). The wonderful Polish buffet line was cleared and and it didn’t take long to get everyone on the dance-floor. Some guests committed crimes against modern dance, which earned huge applause from the crowd. Couldn’t keep the young ones off the dance-floor, either.
