We had a great day with Sarah and John today. What a great couple! We started the day at Sarah’s parent’s house to take some getting-ready photos, and found a wonderful, ready-made studio right in their backyard. Big manicured lawn, beautiful views of the lake and shady trees. It was warm out, a perfect June day. The thunderstorm the day before had left the ground just a little soft, but thankfully the day was sunny and beautiful. We gathered the family and the entire wedding party and took some wonderful photos outside. When the limos arrived, we headed for the church and the ceremony. It was clear how much Sarah and John love each other, and how much they are loved by everyone. The feeling in the church was one of support, love and togetherness. Great stuff. Everyone had a blast at the reception at The Glen Club, and we managed to sneak Sarah and John out of the reception to grab a couple of wide-angle photos on the elegant stairway.
Have a great time in Greece, and call us when you get back!

Beautiful work. That staircase shot looks awesome.
Good work! I love the way you’ve laid the photographs out, too. Very unique! I might borrow that idea, lol.
Nice images! I like your processing, makes them look timeless. Keep up the great work!
Nice pictures and i like the way you have presented them.
Lovely collage, and I agree that the staircase shot is a winner.
Love the collage, the background and the images go so well together, the images are fantastic, my favorite is by far the staircase shot, lovely perspective and lighting. I am sure your clients are so happy!
Nice presentation and photography. Love the wide-angle staircase photo.
LOL.. I hate to be unoriginal but the presentation is classic! Love that is different and, yes, the staircase photo is superb!
We just returned from our annual winter trek to the Idaho mountains for a week of skiing, snowmobiling and time with family. I’m pleased to report that this year I didn’t crash into a tree or have suffer any other snowmobiling mishaps. We spent the week watching the Winter Olympics and enjoying awesome homemade meals. Mom made several batches of her delicious Banana Bread and John made his famous Thai Chicken Curry. Michele and I spent some great brother-sister time watching DVDs, doing puzzles and drinking wine in the hot tub. Dad wrote his flying career autobiography, complete with photos, and presented it to us on the first night. Great stuff.

I love Idaho. My wife is from Montana so we drive through the panhandle a lot but don’t get much time. I’ve got a wedding this summer in Twin Falls which is one area I’ve never spent anytime…should be fun. Great blog.
I love these pictures, your fingers must have been FREEZING holding that camera!
Blimey that looks cold, awesome photo though so well done for braving the conditions to capture it.
My Fiance’ is from Idaho, it does get cold there for sure. However, it’s beautiful and the fishing is amazing. Great pics, I love the one with the old truck and cabin in it.

Sweet little Grace! Our good friends Beth and Joe Englert, whose wedding we photographed in 2007, have a baby daughter and we just loved meeting her for the first time. There are so many great photos from the session that Beth and Joe were hard-pressed to pick their favorite. We love them all!

oh my!! how adorable
Ohhh super cute photo, so nice to see wedding clients going on to the next stage and starting a family isn’t it.
One of the best things about being a wedding and portrait photographer? Watching their family grow! Grace is sooooo cute. I just want to pinch those little cheeks.
Cheers from Vancouver BC!
oh.. gorgeous!
Weary of the gloomy Chicago weather, and with a few days off, we decided to hop a plane and jetted to the Arizona desert for a couple of days. Got on the road and just went wherever the road took us. Well, it took us to Tucson, actually, but along the way we got some great photos of stuff most people just drive on by. In particular at the (mostly abandoned) town of Picacho, we found this great Motel sign. It’s just off I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson, and literally thousands of people drive by it every day. I wonder how many have stopped and admired it
from up close?

I love it! And great idea taking a spontaneous road trip, they’re so often the ones that end up with the best stories.
I really love urban decay and you captured this one beautifully!
Jealous… I LOVE old abandoned stuff like this!
There are times when I wish I brought my camera with me to photography anything interesting.
Great stuff, love it! Nothing like a camera and a road trip:)
